We found 40 different species of moths in our trapping session last week. This is not surprising, as there are hundreds of moths in Britain. But it was fascinating to see their variety and amazing camouflages. What is also important is how the list may change over time. We are fortunate to have a wide variety of habitats on our land and we hope our management improves the biodiversity.
This is an elephant hawk-moth, one of our favourites from this year.
